Growing up in the San Francisco Bay Area, I have been able to experience first hand just how powerful of an impact sports can have on a community. Whether it be the Giants “band of misfits” overcoming countless obstacles to build an improbable dynasty or the Golden State Warriors and the ability to change the game of basketball entirely, I have grown a profound respect for the story sports can tell. It is my goal as both a journalist and communicator to seek out new ways of sharing these stories with audiences across the globe and continuing sports rich tradition of uplifting communities.
